Order Status can appear in four stages depending on the information that is received or provided:
- Pending
- Unshipped
- Shipped
- Cancelled
The status can contain different information depending on whether an order is processed locally or received from a marketplace store. When an order is processed through a marketplace (store), the status of it will be updated automatically.
To change an order status manually;
- Click on an order to open the order details window.
- In the header, verify the status as shown on the left side.
- Next to the status, there is a button to toggle between statuses. Click on the appropriate one to change the current status locally.
Note: Until the newly set status gets uploaded to (synced with) the marketplace, a new line appears in a line below that indicates the Marketplace Status that is different from the local status. When the line disappears, it means that both the marketplace and local statuses are in sync.
Also, the only status that does not sync with the marketplace is Cancelled. In that case, you need to access the marketplace store directly and change the status in the designated account manually.
Pending
Any order indicating it is unpaid will import into Pending. Not all stores support importing unpaid orders.
Shiptory will update the order status to Unshipped when the store sends updated information about the order. Or, you can manually mark the order as Unshipped.
Unshipped
Ready to ship orders will import into the Unshipped status. This is where most of your order management will take place.
Shipped
Once you print a label for an order, Shiptory will move the order into the Shipped status to indicate no more work needs to be done on this order. Also, orders will move here when you mark them as Shipped.
Shiptory can import Shipped orders from your store so you can have a complete reporting of shipped orders in Shiptory.
Cancelled
Any order you cancel in Shiptory will be moved to the Cancelled status. Shiptory can also import cancelled orders from your store so you can have a complete reporting of cancelled orders in Shiptory. However, Shiptory does not notify your store when you cancel orders in Shiptory. For this reason, we recommend cancelling orders in your selling channel and then refreshing Shiptory, to ensure the order status matches on both platforms.
