Inventory Linking is one of the main features that sets Shiptory apart from other shipping management software int he market. It enables you to search for items in the inventory to link it with orders you receive or manually create.
There are three ways to link an inventory item to an order:
Go to Orders.
- In the Order Detail page by clicking the (broken) link icon in the Bin Location column: Use the search bar to locate the item to link the order with and click Link Item.
- In the Order Table by clicking the (broken) link icon in each row: Use the search bar to locate the item to link the order with and click Link Item.
- In the Order Table by clicking on Unlinked in the Link column: Use the search bar to locate the item to link the order with and click Link Item.
Check Set as default if you want to link this item for future orders with the same Product ID.
To change a linked item, you must click on the Order Number in the Orders page and find a locate the item you want to replace the existing one with. It will be saved automatically.
Tips:
If Shipping Information for a product is set once, it will be preset for all future shipments, even when the product is linked with a different order.
If you linked an order with a product from the inventory, there is no need to link other orders that have same Product ID in your unshipped order list again. Shiptory will attribute your previously configured shipment information to all others with one-time linking.
